I am signed up with several online marketing companies that have competitions to entice people to hand over there personal details and divulge their spending habits. As a result of this I get a lot of emails that are almost identical to SPAM emails or worse. Although there are some differences (online marketers know my name and don't give out Ipods for answering questions, only a chance of winning one), I am getting a lot of emails saying I've won small amounts of money that would be entirely believable except that they don't have my name on them.
Anyone who wants to be on the safe side should probably avoid online marketers in case you open a wrong email by mistake.
Considering my name and email address can be found on the web it would be easy for a SPAMmer or malware author to send something that looked like an internert marketing company with my name in it.
