Sophos SafeGuard Master Security Officer certificate expired

Hi everyone,

I hope someone here is still familiar with Sophos SafeGuard on-premise version. I wanted to login to the Management Center today but it said that the appropriate certificate could not be found and if I wanted to import one. While I was about to import the existing certificate I've always been using I realized that it had expired just today. Can anyone please help me to login and/or re-create the according certificate? Unfortunately it seems that Sophos has removed most of the relevant community threads on this. Thanks in advance.

The Sophos SafeGuard Encryption has reached its End of Life on 20 July 2023.
We recommend migrating to Sophos Central Device Encryption. For more details, please see the Migration Center.

Thanks Gladys , but that does not help me in my current situation. We know the product is EOL. Nevertheless we need to use our installation for the time being and I need to be able to login again. Regards, Daniel

Hi astiadmin ,

Can you please try renewing the certificate from within the SafeGuard Certificate Manager?

1. Navigate to Start > All Programs > Sophos > SafeGuard > SafeGuard Certificate Manager.
2. Select the concerned Master Security Officer.
3. Select Renew Certificate.
4. Enter the Certificate password
