Flow Monitor show no data and forces logout

Every time when I try to open the flow monitor of my UTM 9.352-6 the window show "No data available in table".
After 5-10 seconds the  UTM main window reports "Backend connection failed, please click Shift-Reload to try again." and I've to log in again.

Works definitly a version earlier. Could someone confirm this error?

  • I agree, have the same problem here with the same firmeware release.
  • Hi Jas,

I think it's a well known problem on firmeware release 9.352-6, see here:

When I read this thread right it's know since middle of December 2015 but no bug fix is provided so far. Poor service, really.

  • Thank you, Moose.
I know this thread but I havn't understood it. Because I see only a red line with "...THE UPDATES ARE FAULTY...." and a part of the official release notes, but there is no reason or a hint what exactly is faulty.
Maybe I havn't understand all functions of this new forum.....Is there a secret button which expands the thread?

    Otherwise "faulty" could mean everything.
  • The fix for those without paid support was posted a month ago: community.sophos.com/.../283427

  • Hi Jas,

    > Is there a secret button which expands the thread?

Well, I don't know because I'm no forum admin. But I think I sent you the link to the last side of this thread. This here

    community.sophos.com/.../283427

points to the first one. When you scroll down this page you'll see two buttons with arrows. Klick the right one again and again until you'll reach the last side. So you'll be able the read all post, including the fix Bob mentioned.

  • Hi Bob,

    thanks for your hint!

Well, I bought a SG115W in September 2015 with all available kinds of support for all modules incl. fast replacement of hardware but didn't know this error until I tried to use the Flow Monitor today. May be, it's because I'm not checking this forum every day, week or month for errors in firmeware.

You mentioned your link would be for those you don't have payed support.

As you see, I have subscribed and payed for support one year ahead but didn't get any information from Sophos about this bug and how to fix it. Sounds a little bit strange, didn't it? If they know the bug and have a workaround/fix why didn't the inform their paying customers? I don't understand this behaviour.

  • Bob,
thank you, but this fix repairs only the executive report failure.
The problem with the FlowMonitor is still present after the shell commands.

But good to know that Sophos is working on it.

    Jas

  • Thank you Moose.
I haven't noticed the buttons at the end of the page.
