SMTP Proxy not listeing on port 25

Hello,

I´ve just installed a new UTM, not doing if for the first time.

After enabling the smtp Proxy the only message in the smtp logs is this:Expired letters: There was an error while removing expired letters.

The problem is that the utm is not listening on port 25.

Any troubleshooting sugestions?

Hi Marco,

What is the version of the UTM? Any help running the command in Shell, pkill -9 smtpd* && /var/mdw/scripts/smtp restart .

Hello,

the the utm got installed on version 9.409-9.1 and now its updated to 9.411-3.

A restart and also the command didn´t change anything.

I´ve checked open ports with Isof -i|grep -e Listen and i can´t see the smtp porxy listening.

Any ideas?

Hi Marco,

Is the SMTPD service running on UTM? Please show us the output by executing service -S in the shell.

Also, check in the licensing area if the Email Protection is subscribed.

here the output.

I know that the license is just a 30 day one at the moment but that shouldn´t be a problem I guess.

Any Ideas?

Hi,

I confused "service -S" command for the XG firewall with the UTM. Can you verify executing the command, ps aux | grep smtp.

Alongside, I think this has something to do with the database, can you execute: /etc/init.d/postgresql92 rebuild and verify if that resolves the issue.
