SG135 Rev3 - Since Update not working correctly

Hello everyone,


Last night I got my SG135 Rev3. per schedule on 9.716-2
update.
According to the e-mail notification, the update was also made, but since then the firewall has unfortunately no longer worked.
The status LED flashes green continuously and the hard disk LED shows regular access.
However, there are no longer any network links.
Unfortunately, repeated restarts were unsuccessful.
With an HDMI TV, however, I could see that the firewall boots "normally" until the login.

But according to the manual, this flashing status LED means that it's still booting, if I'm right.
I've left it in this mode for several hours, but unfortunately nothing changes.


Can someone help me please?

    I'm aware of the hard drive LED, but the normal status LED seems strange to me
    I was of the opinion that was not the case before the update!


    And the link I posted above in the first post describes the same thing! 
    UTM SG115 rev 3 status led keeps flashing 

    The Power LED is normal ON and the STATUS is since the Update blinking without an end.
    The Manual says that this LED only flashes quickly when the system starts or shuts down

  • Interesting, which rev model this is ? Usually status should be solid green. And it flashes when device is booting up or shutting down. Are you experiencing any network impacts or internet issue or users disconnecting not authenticating or high cpu or high mem utilization ?

  • As mentioned above, this is a Rev 3.
    After the update last night, all network card links were no longer available. Not a single NIC LED on the front of the firewall was lit.
    after several reboots it works again and also the internet and the LAN worked again.
    So far I haven't been able to find any other errors, everything seems to be working "normally".

    The utilization of the CPU, RAM, HDD is all in the normal range as before.

    What else could I do?

  • well but the flashing makes me nervous.
    there must be a reason, especially since it wasn't there before.

  • Reach out to your Sophos partner if you have any questions regarding the use of duct tape to cover up non-functional LEDs to make sure your roll is not end-of-life yet.
