New SG115W Giving ip Address of 192.168.2.100 but i can't access at :4444 and i cannot ping it.

I've set up about 10 of these before and never had this issue. I plug my ethernet cable into the eth0 port from my laptop. boot sg115 my laptop shows ethernet connection until the firewall is fully booted then says not connected. cannot ping device at any point during boot process. I can log into the cmd line by attaching a monitor and keyboard. but that is the limit of my access. At first i thought it was because i forgot to change my ip address to the correct subnet (the others i set up were 192.168.1 or 192.168.0) but im at 192.168.2.88 on my laptop and i still get nothing. very lost right now any suggestions would be great.

Yes the correct IP is 192.168.2.100. What do you see when you connect the monitor and the keyboard, do you see the message all configuration has to be done trough ... ?

Can you try accessing using an incognito window on your web browser?

Hi Thanks for the response.

private browsing in firefox and incognito mode in chrome didn't change anything.

after letting the firewall boot i get the following message

"all configuration is done with webadmin. go to https://192.168.2.100:4444 in your browser"

Did you try to connect on the other physically ports? Is the LED on / flashing on that port?

I've tried every port thinking they got mixed up. which has happened before.

the leds will show activity during boot but once the device boots all the port lights stay off. the status/power leds stay green

get the activity lights for link and activity during boot process but then they go off never to be heard from again.

I thought so they swapped maybe too.

You also could try to login via console directly at the device and check the interface configuration.

But in any case - it is a "fresh faulty installation" - I would try to reinstall that device again instead of searching endless and wasting time. (:

i'll get an unable to connect message in browser until the firewall fully boots and drops the connection.

not a "factory reset" - which often only means to resetting "defaults" and deleting logs, etc.

Best way and test would be to reinstall the whole applinace with an actually ISO image for hw appliances.
