Defective SG125 - need help

Hello,

i got a call from a customer this morning, their SG125 stopped responding. I let them do a forced restart but it didnt come back. Fearing the worst, i grabbed an old SG110 rev. 5 which i had sitting around and took off to the customer. Being there now i find the SG125 completely unreactive, local keyboard and VGA attached but no signs of life.

Now i would like to bring the customer back up on the old UTM110, but i cannot user the SG125 license on it. I have a sort of partner status at Sophos but i cant seem to get a trial license on my own. Can anyone give me a hint what to do next? Leaving them offline until Monday would not be a nice option.

    as a Sophos partner you can create a trial lisence within the myutm portal.

  • Maybe my status is too low for that, all i could find was an option to create a private use license.

    As a registered partner you should have such access. That would be the only way to get an "emergency" license. Talk to your distributor, they might be able to help you get the right access.

  • Hallo Martin - first time I've seen you here - welcome to the UTM Community!

    There is a known problem with too many of the Rev.1 125/135s.  If you have other clients with one of those units, you need to be ready to make the same intervention with the as you have with this customer.

    thanks for chiming in on that one. Its my first own thread here but i have been reading loads since i started with Astaro products in 2009. Looks like i am at least at rev.2 with my other 125 deployments and they are HA as well. As a matter of fact i even took off on saturday and ripped the HA of another customer apart and took half of it to the other. This will do until the defective appliance has been replaced.

    Regarding trial licenses i will try and contact my reseller and/or Sophos, maybe i can be enabled to generate trial licenses on my own.
