SOPHOS UTM-9 Unable to create hotspot vouchers after 9.707-5 update

Hi All,

I upgraded my UTM-9 to version 9.707-5 after which I am unable to generate new hotspot vouchers. I looked at the hotspot logs and I am seeing the following error:

Failed to connect to database: could not connect to server: Connection refused


Has anyone experienced  this before? Any assistance is appreciated.

  • Hi and welcome to the UTM Community!

    The following command rebuilds the PostgreSQL databases.  Although this deletes all of the graphs and data in Reporting, it does not affect the logs.

         /etc/init.d/postgresql92 rebuild

    If that doesn't resolve your issue, start a new Voucher but don't click [Save], start the Wireless Live Log, wait for it to begin to populate and then click [Save].  Copy the complete log lines here after you hit [Save].

  • Will these affect any other databases within the firewall? My UTM is in production currently.

  • Yes.  If this isn't a home-use situation, you should get Sophos Support involved.
