Smart DNS

I'm trialing a Smart DNS commercial solution. It works well, but obviously has a monthly cost.

Is it possible to configure rules in Sophos XG to perform the same task? I'm not overly sure how Smart DNS works, but I'm thinking along the lines of rules which use specific DNS servers to resolve different sites in different countries?

If so a little pointer in where to start to look would be good!

    Hi,

    Smart DNS are services that grant access to websites and services that restrict digital media content availability by region, acting as an intermediary between the client and the website or service. This is accomplished by obscuring the IP address of the client that is often used to verify a user's location.

    This cannot be achieved through UTM.
