Important note about SSL VPN compatibility for 20.0 MR1 with EoL SFOS versions and UTM9 OS. Learn more in the release notes.

  • As the Ideas Portal will go EoL soon, Feedback option within the firewall is one of the replacements. This option uses the usersnap module. This is not part of the Assistant and is not removed.

You can opt-out from the Assistant, if you want - But looking at the assistant nowadays, there is a lot to configure, if you want.

  • Just checked my machine. Before upgrading memory was stable around 70%, since the upgrade it climbed to now being 78%

    I'll keep monitoring this.

  • Ideas Portal will go EoL soon

    yes, today. 26th July.

I understand that it's an other way to improve the system or service quality. The only bad thing of it is that it's not behind a Sophos-owned URL.

  • All sorted now thanks, must have had some form of corruption. Stood up a new VM, imported config and upgraded. No idea what was wrong - a pain but working.

  • Had the same issue when uploading the new firmware from Sophos Central to a hardware XG210 runnning v19.0 GA build 317, just the wheel was spinning for some seconds, then  - nothing. Tried "upload" and "upload&boot", did not change a thing. When I went to local access to the webadmin with a local download of the new firmware, everything went through. Now testing on V19 MR1.

  • It is not officially supported to upload a Firmware via SSO from Central. The reason is simply the performance by uploading such a big file to central and then to the firewall is to performance intense. Therefore an upgrade from Central should be done via Central Firmware upgrade, once the firmware is available and not via Upload over the SSO channel.

  • I guessed that, that why I tested it locally afterwards. Thanks for clarifying this!

  • It is not "per se" blocked, as you might want to upload a small file like a Backup, or download something like a XML Export.

But such junks of data like a firmware update is pretty quickly blocked by the system.

  • Hi,

From what I have noticed, spam detection still did not work well in v19mr1 :(

  • Please refer to this KB and check the output within the Emails. support.sophos.com/.../KB-000038771
