SSL VPN Remote Access: I am unable to access files on my network from a remote location

I am unable to access files on my network from a remote location.

I downloaded the agent from my user portal, and I was able to connect. In fact it assigned me an IP address from the range I put in the settings on the XG firewall.

But I cannot access files in my office from my PC with this VPN agent. It brings no error message.

I need assistance with this.

Thanks.

PS: I AM quite new here. Been asking too much questions though.

  • Hi,

    Good day!

Have you created a Firewall rule that allows resources to be accessed on your VPN? If not, you have to create a firewall rule from LAN to VPN and VPN to LAN. See instructions below:

    1. Source host = Any(This is initial, you could make it specific)

    2. Destination host = Any(This is initial, you could make it specific)

    3. Services = Any(This is initial, you could make it specific)

NOTE: As default and suggested, no NAT is needed.

    Warm Regards,

  • I did this, for IPSec site to site connections.

Do I have to do this for SSL VPN Remote access too?
