Active Sync Variable

hi there.

I think i must have missed a step in the config of i just don't know how to use SMC!

I have created a new profile under the android section for activesync but when i roll it out to my samsung it asks me for my password but doesn't lookup the %_USERNAME_% variable

when i add a new device i've noticed that the User Field is uneditable and only displays "---"? could this be the cause?

    What kind of device are you using on the right? I'm trying to rollout these settings but i don't even get the Exchange configuration on the device (result on the profile: NOT SUPPORTED)... 

    Is this an Samsung SAFE device?
