Sophos Mobile Control 5.1 – Issue pushing certificates to Android devices

We have a profile configured for Android devices which distributes a client certificate, two root certificates and an EAP-TLS wifi profile. We had some issues but have this profile working on our first test Android device which is a Samsung Galaxy S3 running OS version 4.4.2. We then tried to push this profile to a second device a Samsung Galaxy S4 running OS version 4.2.2. The task completed successfully but the certificates are not on the device and is we look at the task details it says failed against each of the certificates. We updated the OS on the second device to 4.4.2 to match the S3 and there is no change. The task says complete but the certificates report failed and they do not appear on the device.

There is no error code reported in the tasks, only the Failed state reported next to each of the certificates.

  • Hi ColibanWater,

we have seen this issue in the past with Android versions < 4.3.
Have you tried to re-register the device after updating it and see if the issue persists?
Our SMC Client may behave differently depending on the Android version it is installed..

    Best regards
