Hi,
Our site Sophos Central has expired and we are moving our clients/Servers to our new trusts/corporate Sophos Central.
The issue only seems to be happening with Server 2012 r2 but after uninstalling the old Sophos Endpoint Agent (whats left of our old Sophos) The SophosSetup.exe just does not run.
Not all my 2012 r2 are affected just some.
It flashes briefly and disappears. I have ever tried reboots and using command switchers but just the same. Its like the .exe is seeing something and killing the install process.
I cant even find a log with whats going on. (In the usual places, unless iv missed one)
Hello Ben,Thank you for reaching us, Were these servers running on VM? when you perform the clean-up on those affected servers, did you use Sophos ZAP? You can try running Sophos Zap to totally clean the server and then download a fresh Sophossetup.exe on your central. Let us know if there’s any positive result after carrying out the process.
That quick a failure seems like a system level issue. Do you see any errors in the Windows Events>Application Events that have our installer as the source?

Yes the client was installed on VM's and no i did not use ZAP to uninstall. The only thing that was left in "Add and Remove was the "Sophos Endpoint Agent"
I will have a look a zap but it looks a bit over kill, was hoping it may have been just a reg key or something that could have been left behind stopping the .exe from running.
Nothing appears.
