this isn't really a question about Product Documentation, is it?
Which product are you referring to? Central, SESC, or some other? And not sure what you mean by report, could you provide a screenshot?

I was referring to Sophos Central, there is a report under Devices that list  unmanaged devices. This lists devices that have Sophos installed on them. We use AD Sync so may be an issue there.

I'm not familiar with Central but I think that this report is more or less real-time, i.e. in the worst case it does not reflect changes since you've opened it.

So they have indeed the Central Agent on them? How was it installed?

The Sophos client software, is pre installed on a wds image.

guess the gold image article also applies to WDS images. How did you prepare the image? If you've followed the necessary steps but AD sync doesn't behave as expected then further troubleshooting is beyond my meagre knowledge.and you'd have to be patient until some expert replies.
