ASG110 RAM Upgrade?

Hi,

I got the following system: ASG110 (FW 8.309) with 1Gb RAM

Now the RAM and swap are most of time full.
Can i put 2 oder 4GB RAM in the ASG110?

Its 3 years old, so no problem with warrantly, but what does the Firmare/License say when i put 2 or 4GB RAM in the system?

  • Morning,

Depending on the model you may be able to bump it up to 2GB or 4GB. Being three years old I'm guessing it's a 110/120 rev3? Regarding the warranty, if you have an active commercial license for the 110/120, your hardware is covered so can't be modified w/o risking your hardware coverage.

On a different note, with that sort of RAM/Swap usage, you may be overloading your 120 and want to look into upgrading anyways. What CPU numbers do you see as well?
  • See the attachment for RAM/CPU usage.

What do you mean with Hardware covered? The Hardware is mine and
wher i add RAM, thwe warrantly will be lost. But i can live with that.

Maybe in 2 or 3 years i can buy a bigger asg, but for now a RAM upgrade would be the best solution i think.
  • Nope, 1GB is the limit on those older units.

  • Jan, this means you should talk to your reseller and consider trading in for a newer 120, or maybe upgrade to a 220.
