Import users text file

Not via WebAdmin, at least in 9.113.

Via the command line - I'd certainly hope so.  However Sophos tends to make folks feel their support is potentially void if unauthorized changes are made from the command line.

Clear it with support first - and please share any "official" advice support shares (if you can).

Here's a start - there is much more that can be set:

Manually creating and managing 4000 accounts only via the WebAdmin interface would be maddening.   Command line and automation help but are AD/LDAP/etc non-starters for this environment?

@ser_user: Please consider #6 in Rulz before you add 4000 users to a UTM.

Balfson. In this case  users should be created in utm because it is workgroup environment and SAA is used...

In any case, I believe that teched is right, and that an AD or LDAP server is what you should be configuring for that many users.

This is not my environment but our customer. I tried to persuade them to implement domain but long story.. [:)]
The situation is as it is..

An LDAP server would not require a domain, but it would offer a much better tool for managing a large list of users.  That list could then be used/queried by the UTM.
