SESC 9 vs other AV products

What are your views of Sophos and SESC9?

It has been a while since I've used any other vendor. I hope to see some responses covering what others feel, like those that just come to Sophos recently as well as those like myself that use Sophos.

Back ground:

We have been using Sophos for over 3 years now and I'm pleased over all with this product. We used to be a Symantec shop and saw enough issues to move on.

Thanks

  • Thank you.

After reading your earlier post the other vendors seem the same in 2010 as they were in 2006.

    Product upgrades and patches:

In 2006 McAfee's design was very complex for doing upgrades and patches of endpoints and Symantec required one to do it manually or use another solution out side their product.

Sophos has been great is getting the endpoints upgraded and patched smoothly for the past 4 years. I keep informing the users I support that with Sophos you install it once and then just support it.

What do others think of Sophos' product endpoint upgrade and patch process?
