SEC V4 and SQL 2008

We have been asked if its possible to upgrade our enterprise SQL server from 2005 to 2008 without breaking the Sophos database.

I have checked the requirements in the SEC documentation but can only find SQL2005 mentioned.  Can anyone tell me if this is possible let alone supported as I have only just lovingly created and deployed to our environment.

To make things worse I am going to post the same question on the SafeGuard board. :mansad:

  • SEC 4.5 will support SQL 2005/2008 (support of previous versions is dropped). So if those who asked can wait about three months ... oh, also means you have to go through an(other) upgrade. I've found only one article mentioning SQL Server 2008 (last change March 2009) so guess it's not supported in 4.0.
