Citrix Login

I successfully installed Endpoint Security and Control on one of our Citrix servers over the weekend using Enterprise Console. However people are stating that when they tried to access the server from a thin client the Citrix login was positioned in the top left hand corner of the desktop in a way that we could only see a fraction of the login window and couldn’’’’t drag it down. However once we uninstalled Sophos in worked fine. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi,

The most likely cause is this component:

    http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/112099.html

This dll is loaded from the registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\AppInit_DLLs

It ensures that all processes load the dll:

    "C:\Program Files[(x86)]\Sophos\Sophos Anti-Virussophos_detoured[_x64].dll"

I would think if you removed the Sophos entry in the above key and restart the machine the problem would go away.  I believe there is a registry key to prevent the installer adding this key back if you're happy to remove some of the functionality it adds as listed in the article.  You might need to contact Support for the key unless anyone else can chime in here?

    Regards,

    Jak
