Upgrade from SEC3 to 4.5 and move DB to SQL 2008

We are looking to upgrade from v3 to v4.5 as well as move the DB to our SQL 2008 server. What is the best route to follow? in place upgrade and then move the DB?

    I've done it.  The guide should help.  Basically upgrade from 3->4->4.5.  You can upgrade the SQL Server after the upgrade of 4 or 4.5 depeinding on the version you currently run.  If you have SQL Server 2000 you need to upgrade to SP4 before the upgrade.
