Feedback on Ultimate Client

First: nice UI: the new client (extra) client, which is added to the systemtray, hope that this is the one client which will be left over after one of the two  clients is removed in the final version.

What I don't understand is the built-in (and by default enabled) ability for users to override Sophos central policy for up to 4 hours. If a client can do,  so will a virus/hacker.

Also, within this functionality,  the overide interface is kind of buggy, I am able to disable realtime scanning of files by sliding an on-off button, but never to be enabled again. I can only slide to off but not to on anymore...

  • re: the new UI being left over, yes that is the intent.

re: override, this capability is only exposed to a user if tamper protection has been disabled from Central policy.

When you enable it, it prompts the user for a password before giving them that capability.

re: override + ability for features to be turned off, but not on, is 'as designed'.

I also agree that it is confusing, given toggle design, and should offer both on/off to be more helpful in troubleshooting.

In order to re-enable features you turned off, you currently need to uncheck 'override' and wait for the policy to take effect again.
