Virus Samples inside Zip File is not Detectable by Sophos Intercept X for Mobile

Thank you for reaching out to the Sophos Community forum. We'll have to look into this further.

What kinds of sample files are those? And is the behavior the same for both iOS and Android devices?

I used "Test Virus App" to test Sophos Intercept X for Mobile,yes it detects Sample Virus as a treat but when I try to extract the Zip file that contains a Sample Virus Sophos Intercept X for Mobile wasn't able to scan it, I try "eicar.org" aswell but the results is still the same about Zip or Compressed file; Sophos Intercept X for Mobile can't detect a virus inside a Zip file which is an important feature the Antivirus must have, I only used it in Android Device I don't know if it's still the same to IOS or other Platforms, please fix this issue and Thank for giving this topic an attention :> .

We're currently looking into this. I am inquiring internally to get more details on how the Intercept X Mobile handles zip files. I'll respond again to this thread once I have an update.

Try to test the App I put the links and those are 100% safe for the purpose of testing the Antivirus App

Thank you for your patience. We've tested it from our end, and it appears that the files in the Zip are currently not being scanned. Our Development is now investigating this further.

I'll keep you informed and update this thread for any news related to this.
