Missing POA or key information. Please check computer's inventory

I was attempting to perform a Safeguard Challenge. When I entered the user's computer name an error appeared reading "Missing POA or key information. Please check computer's inventory". I cannot bypass this to continue the Challenge. Please let me know what needs to be done to complete this task. Thanks.

  • Hi VinceCT,

it sounds as if the client you're trying to recover either does not have SafeGuard Enterprise installed or does have SafeGuard Enterprise installed but did not yet report back to the SafeGuard Enterprise Server after installation.

If you check the machine in the Safeguard Enterprise Management Center, is there any Inventory information visiblie or do you see any assigned users on the "Users" tab?

    Regrards,

    Chris

  • I am not the one who submitted this originally but I am having the same issue with the machine.  The software is installed but it does not show in the Inventory on the console.

    can you help me?

  • I'm having the same issue with a Windows 10 computer encrypted with BitLocker. The console shows the computer, the encrypted drive, etc. but when I try to use the Recovery Wizard, I get this message after entering the computer name and click next. The computer has SafeGuard client v7.0.2 installed.
