WiFi lossing connection - reconnecting

WiFi is losing connection few times per day.

It comes back after one minute (it reconnects) but why does laptop lost connection in first place?

All I have in log that every 10 minutes there is WPA rekeying.

  • What version of UTM?  I have had serious issues with WiFi since 9.307-6.

    OPNSense 64-bit | Intel Xeon 4-core v3 1225 3.20Ghz
    16GB Memory | 500GB SSD HDD | ATT Fiber 1GB

  • I'm also using firmware version 9.307-6 and logging handshake events that seem to be related to client connectivity loss. On inspection of the event on a Windows host, the network driver reports corruption and requires a reboot to reconnect. Linux clients who lose connectivity can no longer see the broadcast SSID which also requires a reboot to resolve. I saw in previous release errata that a custom MTU might be required. Has anyone else tried this?
  • Hi, jgoddard, and welcome to the User BB!

What MTU do you have?  You might want to try the links in GuyFawkes' post. (I found that by googling site:astaro.org wireless flash ap)

It doesn't sound like you need this workaround.

    Cheers - Bob
