WiFi access points on remote office

Hi Folks,

is it possible to use Sophos UTM's wireless protection for remote Offices?
Means:
*VPN or something like that is on remote Office
*Sophos UTM in main Office.
*The accesspoint is located on the reomte Office.

As far as I can see the accesspoint will tunnel all traffic over the Management LAN for APs. Is that right?
so is there no possibility to use the Internet line on remote Office instead of Sophos' directly connected Networks?

Hi, I believe you can use them if you have a RED in each remote office.

Barry, I think you can do it through a VPN as long as 1.2.3.4 is routed to the UTM from the AP.

So just for understanding, will the Networks - available on the AP - be routed over the Management Lan (where the APs communicate to the Sophos)? So is this a tunnel mechanism over the Management LAN?

Or will the accesspoint itself try to communicate with Internet/other accessable LANs?

If you configure the AP to "Bridge to LAN," it will communicate directly with other devices in its subnet. The UTM uses a specialized OpenVPN tunnel to communicate with APs for other traffic.
