Traffic flow with AP

Hello,
I  plan to buy 5-6 AP10. They will be connected to a 52 port switch in our LAN, that is connected to Internal network of my ASG 220.

Question: The traffic generated from clients (connected to astaro APs) will passes through ASG even if they will access to our File Server in LAN? Obviously with standard access points the answer is no, but with the ap managed by ASG?

thanks

  • Right now, I don't think there's binding to the interface the AP is connected to.  If I understand corrrectly, for an SSID where the AP is "bridged to LAN", the AP just acts like a regular access point.

But your idea is interesting, so I voted for it.  I wonder if that couldn't be accomplished by introducing the ability to selectively do layer-2 bridging between virtual interfaces?
