Traffic flow with AP

Hello,
I  plan to buy 5-6 AP10. They will be connected to a 52 port switch in our LAN, that is connected to Internal network of my ASG 220.

Question: The traffic generated from clients (connected to astaro APs) will passes through ASG even if they will access to our File Server in LAN? Obviously with standard access points the answer is no, but with the ap managed by ASG?

thanks

  • It seems to me that if you select "Bridge to LAN" mode, the traffic should go directly from the switch to other internal devices, just as if you had an unmanaged AP.

    Thanks Bob [:)]
Now I have bought 1 AP10 for test purposes. Great product! (well it's really really small, it seems a toy![:P]). About binding: I opened a feature request becase I think that the possibility to choose the Interface you want to bind to a SSID would reduce duplicate configurations, more details here:

Wireless: Add possibility to bind SSID to a specific Interface
