Outlook Autodiscover is blocking

Hi everyone,

i wanted to configure a new pc. But the Outlook Autodiscover Wizard is hanging at the Point für searching the correct Exchange Server. I search the webfilter logfilter for a block entry and i found it. I wrote an exception, i think so, but nothing Change.

The autodiscover.domain.de is an CNAME at our DC to the A Record from our Hosting Partner.

A NSLOOKUP from the Client show the right informations. With the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer all test went fine.

This is the error message:

2017:08:09-16:18:14 vpn httpproxy[13348]: id="0002" severity="info" sys="SecureWeb" sub="http" name="web request blocked" action="block" method="CONNECT" srcip="10.0.10.118" dstip="128.127.69.83" user="" group="" ad_domain="" statuscode="500" cached="0" profile="REF_DefaultHTTPProfile (Default Web Filter Profile)" filteraction="REF_DefaultHTTPCFFAction (Default content filter action)" size="185" request="0xd8501e00" url="autodiscover.domain.de/" referer="" error="Connection timed out" authtime="0" dnstime="6" cattime="0" avscantime="0" fullreqtime="127333924" device="0" auth="0" ua="" exceptions="av,auth,content,url,ssl,certcheck,certdate,mime,cache,fileextension,size"

How can i solve this Problem?

Best regards,
Stefan

  • Hi, Stefan, and welcome to the UTM Community!

If you get a statuscode in the 500-range and an Exception for AV doesn't solve the problem, you have to skip the proxy for that FQDN.
