"http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam" and "http://store.akamai.steamstatic.com/public" subfolders/resources blocked

Hello,

starting a few days ago, some important Akamai CDN content for Steam (jpg, css...) is blocked because of a "Malicious Sites,Potiental Unwanted Programs" categorization. It's exactly the resource itself, not the whole domain/subdomain/folder:

"http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam" "http://store.akamai.steamstatic.com/public"

Seems to be a false positive - again, since things like this have happened very often over the last months.

Just to inform you!

BR

  • Hi BR,

You can always check the categorization by going to www.trsutedsource.org. select McAfee Smart Filter 4.2 and verify the categorization.

In odd instances, try to restart httpproxy, /var/mdw/scripts/httpproxy restart

    Hope that helps.
