Web filtering is turned off but still blocking

Web filtering is blocking Java and possibly the updating of the endpoint software on my Home UTM 9.405-5.  The issue is I am not using Web filtering.  It is turned off on the Global tab.  I am getting the following error message.  I am using the Endpoint protection module but it looks like this is coming from the UTM.  Am I missing something else?

  • Hi,

Try flushing the web cache from the browser and reverify it. If you already did that, reatart the httpproxy. To do that, take SSH to UTM with root login and execute, /var/mdw/scripts/httpproxy restart.

    Hope that helps.

  • It turns out the issue was with Sophos Cloud AV.  I was testing it a while ago and it stopped working on my PC.  I had to completely uninstall the product and do a couple of reboots for the filtering to stop blocking everything.  I reinstalled the Endpoint Protection from the UTM and everything started working again.
