URL blocking

is it possible to add some URLS that arent listed in sophos home edition which needs to be blocked.? Also can that be done for a single user? Also is it possible to add a URL blocking for a single user or users?

Hi,

Configure a Web Protection Profile with specific user blocked in the policy and define a custom Web filter Action for the user. If the web site is not categorized in the UTM, add the website in the block list found in Filter Actions. PFA screenshot.

Hi,

Sir actually your answer is not clear.. According to the screen shot should i add the name with a name in both Blocked and Allow list? Actually it is not possible..

Hi,

Add the website to the block list, as your requirement is to block a particular website. You can also refer community.sophos.com/.../119148 . If your present web protection deployment is transparent mode, then do not change the mode as pointed in the referred document.

Hi Aravind,

You can check the reason of block by monitoring the packetfilter.log file. Please go through the logs and update us if any information is required.

Refer https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-US/121158 , to get information about various log files and their path.

But everything was working normal. How could the change happen in all of sudden? Everything went incorrect in a few hours ago... I have not changed anything unless trying to access via the client log. but i do assume that i couldnt not change anything in the usual functioning of the Sophos. Right now Fuzzed up with the conditions.. Please sort this out...
