Download speed slow when on Wireless network

All,

I have my wireless network in bypass scan mode because it tends to speed up the network. Lately my speed has been greatly reduced. I am getting 7mbps down and over 30mpbs up.

Any settings I should check to ensure my download speed goes back to normal. I was averaging 50mbps down when on wireless network.

All interfaces are set to a gig full. no errors on the interfaces either.

  • Hi Boby,

How is your wireless configured with UTM? Try changing the frequency band, it can be a case of network congestion. Also, try changing the ethernet cable.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Thanks for your response. However I figured out the issue. My wireless router had a setting called B/G Protection and when enabled I could see the firewall dropping packets when running a packet capture.

I disabled the setting and now have decent speeds. Nowhere near 100mb as i'm getting 300mb when directly connected but I am making progress so I will continue to troubleshoot as I am now moving in the right direction.
