Web Protection Standard Mode still active, while not using a Proxy

Hi there,

í´m new on this Forum and this is my first question. We are using Web protection for all Client Systems with Standard mode and actice Directory sso. On some Systems we don´t want to use the Proxy to Permit Downloads which are normally blocked throgh web protection. I´m using Windows 10 with Microsoft Edge or IE11 with direct Internet Access without any Proxy configuration. Every time i tried to download files which have blocked file extensions like .exe or .msi i still got a popup that the Content is blocked. We are trying to solve the issue over weeks and we can´t solve the issue.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards

Mario

  • Hi Mario,

Go to the configured web filter profile in the transparent mode, which allows download without proxy configuration on web browsers. Edit the concerned profile and go to policies> filter action. Search for a tab called downloads and check if the required file extensions are allowed in the network.

If a web filter profile in the transparent mode isn'tconfigured, then please check here.

    Thanks
