Google searches showing porn results

We are a school district who are required to block many things.....like porn.  A student said she was searching for stuff on pirates and porn images showed up in her results.  I tested with other student accounts and confirmed that from Google if I searched for images with porn included in the search it would indeed show explicit images.  bing and yahoo, blocked / fuzzed out the images.  How do I do that for google?

  • I did turn that on yesterday but it broke most of the school related websites that we use and had to turn it off again so they could continue teaching.  If I recall correctly, we need to have the CA installed on all the clients for that to work properly?  We'll have to find an evening time or weekend to switch it and test it.

  • Hi Larry,

Yes, you need to install the CA on every end clients. I suggest you to create an exception for the school related website or you can also select specific categories you want to decrypt and scan. This will give you more granular approach towards web protection.

    Thanks
