8.202 Http proxy not running - restarted 8 times in a day

This is something that'll need to be fixed in code, so we'll have to wait for the next up2date most likely.

I'm on 8.202 and have not seen this problem.

I've been getting this Bob.  I've been seeing it happen most often when larger or multiple downloads are taking place.

I would think I would have seen this in one of the log files, but I haven't.  Am I looking in the wrong logfile?

Not sure if this is related or not but on my home unit (8.202 on ESXi 4.x) I get similar symptoms as described, however like Bob, I can't find any record of the http proxy restarting. This never happened on 8.103 so I'm unsure what's going on.

What I specifically see is that all of a sudden my internet browsing stops dead in it tracks for upwards of a minute or two. Turned the Web Proxy off and it still happens. Only way for it to come back is to be patient & wait, or like this morning (I was in a hurry) restart the httpd process.

Both 'ps aux' and 'top' show nothing out of the ordinary, no zombies, not abnormal CPU usage(verified w/ ESXi).

Another side effect of this is that you may also see swap usage grow after the proxy restart.

1)how much ram u have 
2)u r asg is on sotware or hardware or virtual system
3)do u have wireless ap 
4)do u have any segfault log in kernal log (search kernel log with segfault for last 8 days )  or do u have any dump file or /and when  
5)which proxy mode u r using

4GB assigned to this VM. WebAdmin shows 3GB because it's the 32bit edition.

Virtual. WMware ESXi 4.1 specifically.

3)do u have wireless ap 

Not any Astaro supplied ones. I have a B/G (WRT54GL) and an N (Dlink) but they are regular devices and the PC I use for testing is hardwired into the switch.

I will have to look as I'm away from the machine right now (I'm at work)

Transparent Mode w/ the Local Cache Easter Egg enabled. My problem also manifests with the Proxy turned completely off.

Please note this is in my home system (production is still on 8.103 and/or 7.5x) so I can fiddle with my system.

Just confirmed here a few minutes ago (experienced another lockup) that restarting the httpd process can restore the connection back to full function.

Can't find anything in the logs to indicate a problem. Top was clear. No segfaults recorded afaik.

yesterday updated, and also had no problems even with multiple download..
I see a version already 8.202 GA or am I mistaken ?
