[Advisory] Some MSP customers report that UTM licenses have expired making it impossible to log into the UTM

UPDATED Sept 30, 2018 9:51pm UTC

[Advisory] Some MSP customers report that UTM licenses have expired making it impossible to log into the UTM.

Workaround:

Each MSP needs to log into each SUM installation and authenticate using their MyUTM credentials. The credentials must be the same as as when they set up SUM MSP licensing or should be from the same MyUTM account. Please do the following:

  1. go to Management > MSP > Authentication
  2. enter your Credentials
  3. select Apply
  4. wait 5 - 10 mins for the licenses to update
  5. check the  renewed Certificate Expiration Date
  6. try logging to the UTM

  • This is a SERIOUS issue and major screw-up, not only did you expire licenses for 1000's of firewalls, you made them stop working, they stopped passing traffic, and they broke HA clusters and turned the passive node offline.  Hopefully someone gets fired over this, and we're looking for a new FW provider.
