RED15w wifi issue

Hi all,

My collegue called me about RED15w wifi problems, we use UTM 9.402-7, he had several accesspoints, all running great, he then added the accesspoint in the RED15w to the Wifi network (not group). But nothing happens in the live log (wlan entered forwarding state....not shown).

I did setup a seperate zone wifi, that worked! - changed it to bridge to ap lan, also worked?! - funny (SSID:TEST)

I noticed that the corporate wifi profile, which did not work, had TKIP & AES listed, the profile I created was only AES, I changed the corporate profile to AES only, and suddenly the RED15w started broadcasting the SSID.

So maybe a little bug? - I don't know - but now you do :-)

Hi,

We have no reported instance yet, can you send us wireless.log when you deploy the SSID with TKIP as the selected encryption.

Hi Sachin,

yes here is the file from today, the affected AP has 192.168.39.128 in the log (to search for).

I went through the logs you posted. What is the frequency band you are using for AP?

Hi,

It running 2,4 & 5Ghz profile, the same profile as all the others, even though it cannot handle both.

Can you re-deploy it on 5GHz or 2.4 GHz frequency band individually and test the scenario?
