RED 10 Unlock code

Hi, You have probably heard this question many times before.

I have Sophos UTM Home and I am attempting to register another UTM (A friends) as a RED.

Unfortunately I could not find the ID anywhere to activate it as I am running in on the software version. I activated the RED which registered it to get the ID but now when I try to deploy it from my own it asks for the unlock code.

So I contacted the support who tell me they do not support home users and to ask on the forum. Not sure how I can get an unlock code through the forum but here goes. Anyone help me out here? The UTM is great and I want to continue to use it but how the hell can deploy the red and find out the unlock code?

    I never gone this way, so I cannot help you with this problem,

    but I have a similar use-case between my family and me, but both UTM are connected with a site2site VPN connection. In my opionion its a better solution than the RED one because with the VPN your 50 IPs are not blown away and the access regulation is much simpler. 

    If you are interested i can tell you how to do it.

    You cannot use the [Server] Deployment Helper for software RED, only hardware RED, so no unlock code is necessary.

    Here's what you need to do:

    UTM #1
    1)  On  [Server] Client Management tab, create a New RED, using client type UTM.
    2)  Download the provisioning file for this new RED

    UTM #2
    3)  On the other UTM, on the [Client] Tunnel Management Tab, create a New Tunnel.  Give it the provisioning file that you created on UTM #1.

    Yep, you cannot contact support.  As a home license user, you are not considered a customer.

    thanks for the replies.
    I can see that I can setup as a UTM under RED and download the provisioning file. Shall that still take IP address from one of the UTM's and split it?

    On another note and shall put in another thread. setting up ssl vpn's is pretty easy. It seems that all mine work to a test a i setup but the one I want to vpn to connects but I can not access the remote ip's lan
