RED 50 will not connect SSL connect accept failed

Hi all,

Having issues with a RED 50 that was swapped out yesterday to replace a RED 10.  I have duplicated the setup of the RED 10 however it will not connect and I am getting the following errors in the log;

2014:11:28-07:44:01 remoteaccess red_server[13827]: Self: SSL connect accept failed because of handshake problems SSL wants a read first

2014:11:28-07:44:32 remoteaccess red_server[13912]: Self: SSL wants a read first

Any help appreciated.

  • Hi, Alan, and welcome to the User BB!

    That's the first time any of us has seen that error.  Please click on [Go Advanced] below and attach a picture of the Edit of the RED 50 configuration.

  • Hey Bob,

    Thanks for responding and thanks for the welcome.

    The issue was resolved last night and ended up being some strange Internet provider issue so we are all back up and running.

    Had me scratching my head for a while...

    Cheers,
    alan
  • Hi

    I had the same problem with a RED 10. I didn't troubleshoot one item per time so I cannot pin point the fix but here is what I changed and it worked.

    1) Deleted all traces of the RED from the Interfaces / RED Management
    2) Changed my WAN to another ISP (pretty sure this is what fixed it)

    Worked fine afterwards.
