RED 10 - static IP after power outage?

Hi there,

I'm deploying a RED 10 to a remote office in eastern Europe.
It has a static IP address.

I've configured it here in the office with DHCP, working fine.
then changed the config to reflect the static IP - config was download and Internet connection failed as I would expect.

Now if I send this over to the remote site... will it power up with the static IP config - it may take 10 days to get there..?

Also, what happens if there is a power outage or an internet outage at the remote site, will the RED revert back to a "blank" setting and attempt to re-download the config using DHCP again ?

    The RED will save its configuration, so there should be no problems after a power outage.

    How does the RED box recover from an incorrect static IP setting, or if the end user moves the device to a backup Internet line with a different IP address ?

    It won't be able to connect to the Internet...
    After a certain amount of time does the static IP config revert to a DHCP config? [:S]

    Correct, it does a fallback to dhcp.
