Avaya IP phone on red

So we just purchashed a few RED's that we are going to be deploying to a few of our remote site. We are able to create a tunnel back to the office, the problem that we are having is that our Avaya IP phones cannot connect back to the call server.

Our main network is made up of 10.0.0.X, the remote site network is 10.0.22.X. Our phone system network is on a 192.168.x.x network. We have manually assign the IP phone the Ip settings but for some reason it stays on Discovery 192.168.x.x. Has anyone out there encountered something like this

The phone models are 9620L

If you need anymore information, let me know. This is my first post.

  • I don't think it's the right answer, but to bridge the RED network with Internal, just free the reds2 "NIC" by deleting the Interface you defined with it, and then bridge it with the Internal interface.

You didn't say if there was anything in the Firewall or Intrusion Prevention log.

  • You're going to have to manually configure the remote phone(s) to work on those remote subnet(s) (or configure custom DHCP settings to make discovery work, etc.); contact your phone provider.
