ASG with RED

On our ASG i have configured the following

Firewall External Interface
74.30.xx.xx

RED interface reds1
IPv4 address 192.168.10.1

DHCP server
IP range 192.168.10.10-20

Packet filter rule
Red Address---Any---Any

RED Device Configuration
RED ID: ******x
ASG Hostname : 74.30.xx.xx
Uplink Mode: DHCP
Roting Mode: Split
Split Network: 192.168.5.0 and Red Address

On the remote site i place the RED behind a DSL router which assigns private IP and this i have tested with a laptop.The Red WAN interface connected to DSL router and the WAN link turns green whereas the System blinks red and the other 3 Router,Internet and Tunnel blinks green for few seconds and then goes off and again it keeps blinking and goes off.
Could anyone advice what's going wrong?

  • That looks like it should work.  Are you sure that the private IP range assigned by the DSL router doesn't conflict with any of your ranges?

  • I guess that paketfilterrule

    >Packet filter rule
    >Red Address---Any---Any

isn't  necessary - maybe it is disturbing.

    I think you need
    RED(Network) -> Any -> Any
if you want to allow anything from behind the RED.

Just for safty sake: do you have bound any network definition except 'Internet' to an interface?
