Errors on Install...

I just received a new RED and activated in our ASG.  I'm getting errors.

I am getting "Invalid Object Parameter."  
It will then drop me back to the screen where I can press "Save" again.  
If I hit Save again, I get "Error generating RED client certificate."

I'm at a loss.  Maybe I'm configuring something wrong?

My ASG in the home network has an external IP of 209.***.***.***
ASG Internal IP is 192.168.1.1

In the Add RED Appliance:
Branch Name: [somename]
RED ID: A30************
ASG Hostname: 209.***.***.*** [External IP of ASG]
Quick Remote Network Setup: Checked
BASE ASG IP: 192.168.1.1

Am I missing something here?  It seems pretty straightforward.

Any help would be appreciated.

    The Base ASG IP will be the address assigned to the new RED interface on your ASG.  It should be different from other LAN subnets already assigned on your ASG.
     
    So, if your Lan is 192.168.1.0/24, you would want to assign 192.168.2.1 (or something else as long as it isn't 192.168.1.x) as the Base IP for the RED in your ASG.
     
    This is because on your ASG, the RED is setup as an interface, with address, broadcast, and network definitions, and you can't have overlaping subnets.
     
    This is what I'm seeing in the information provided.

    Ahhh, Ok, I was putting in the address of the ASG because "BASE ASG IP" sounds a lot like, "Hey man, put the address of the ASG here."

    Maybe in the next up2date for the software they can make it say, "BASE RED IP" which could help with confusion.  

    I will give that change a try and see if it works.

    I had forgotten to post a follow-up to this problem.  It seems that changing the BASE ASG IP was the fix.  I would strongly recommend clarifying that BASE ASG IP in this instance is referring to the RED.  Maybe a verbiage change of "BASE RED IP" would be more appropriate here.

    Good point Joe... the terminology used is a bit confusing.  I know I put the wrong thing in that entry space the first time, and I've been using Astaro for years.

    RED's setup language and documentation are still very green and in need of matuation. 

    That being said, I guess it bodes well that it can be easily setup despite the potential confusion.
