following setup. A Red15 configured in transparent / disconnected mode with a split DNS server.
Split Networks and Split Domains configured accordingly.
However, there is a problem with name resolution for the split domains.
Inquiries with nslookup on remote page for the query type A will be displayed with the error message "No address (A) entries for host.genesis.local"
I see in the tcpdump on the UTM page that the requests from the remote client to the respective registered split domains arrive and are also correctly answered by the split DNS server.
Here are screenshots of the requests and the tcpdump on the UTM page
192.168.40.0/24 is the remote network, 192.168.30.0/24 is the local network
As you can see, query types NS AND SOA are answered correctly, because I get a correct result on the client side as well. Only for Type A
there is the error message even though the DNS server has answered correctly.
Is the problem possibly already known?
