Multipath rule and multiple objects with same IP address

We have 650 with dual WAN connection. We are trying to use multipath rule to force an outbound connection always going through one of the wan links. However connections seems to be intermittent. Sometimes it will be going fine, but other times it will time out. Upon investigation , seems like the source ip has been defined as multiple objects , two objects with the same IP address.

The question:

1. Do we need to add both objects to the multipath rule ?

2. Does it matter if we have two or more objects with similar IP address ?

  • Hi Paulus,

So you're saying you have two objects defined in your firewall with the same IP address?

That would only cause an issue if each object are used in conflicting policies. If that is the case, then please delete the repeated object.

    Best,

    Karlos

  • Karlos is probably right, Paulus, but if you need more help with this issue, please show pictures of the Edits of the two objects and of your Multipath rule.

    Cheers - Bob
