AP55c frequency band 2.4 and 5 speed settings

I got an AP55c and a wireless network configured with frequency band 2.4 and 5 ghz

How will my clients connect (assuming they can connect on both frequencies) and why?

Sub question;

I earlier made 2 wireless networks for each frequency but the 2.4 connection only provides 144Mbps.

I see some peaks to 270Mbps but it drops to 144 or lower, how can i keep it on 270 or higherr?

    Hi Stegman, 

    I wonder how did the thread go unnoticed. The clients will connect to any one band which is best suitable for the connection, this depends on the distance of the client from the router. 5GHz band has shorter coverage but high frequency providing high output where as the frequency and coverage of 2.4 GHz band will be vice versa. The drop of bandwidth might be caused due to sudden congestion in the frequency band. Did that answer your query?
