SMTPD not running properly since firmware update

Hi everyone,

Thank you for reporting the issue, we managed to track down the cause so you can expect a fix to this very soon.

In the meanwhile, as Daniel Hund mentioned, issuing 'pkill -9 smtpd* && /var/mdw/scripts/smtp restart' command as root will fix the problem.

I have disabled SMTP Proxy and the Quarantine Report.

Hi Marcos,

As Chris mentioned in the thread opening post, version 9.400-9 is affected by this.

The fix is currently being rolled out with 9.401-11, so you should stop getting these notifications once you receive and install that update.

We had installed this version:

Firmwareversion:9.401-11

Patternversion:99168

And receive this email:

Look at the uptime... this message is wrong... i restart the utm this mornig.

Hi Daniel and Marcos,

For both of you, the notification for the SMTP Proxy restart still lists the system version as 9.400-9, so that was generated before the update. You should not receive any more errors on 9.401-11.
