SMTP and POP Home Use Setup

Good Evening,

I have a couple questions regarding how to setup UTM 9.2 for home use. I recently setup a system and I am now having SMTP and POP client issues (I guess one is for inbound and the other outbound). This is a home use system and the mail client uses smtp.comcast.net. I am unable to send/receive mail and believe there are specific rulesets I need to create for email to work. I read the sticky thread at the top of this forum but that did not seem to work for me (admittedly I don't totally understand the steps involved) . I believe I don't understand Mail protocols enough to troubleshoot this specific problem on my own.

If there are any step by step "how to" guides on how to accomplish this type of task I would greatly appreciate a link. I don't necessarily understand setting up a "domain" on my local network, its just a small LAN. I just want the mail email from Comcast to "flow through" like it normally would without UTM. Is that possible?
