How to get notified if Mail Queue reaches threshold

Hello All,

I hope everybody is doing fine. I have a question i would like to get help here.

Is there a way to get notified when Spooled Mail queue exceeds certain amount say for example if it exceeds above 10. The reason is over the past weekend our Mail queue in Sophos had reached to 2000 emails and hence we were not getting any mails over the weekend and after we released all emails on Monday morning we got all delayed emails.

So if there is any way we can configure it in Sophos if Mail queue exceed we get notification so we can immediately act upon it to avoid such situation in future.

Thanks,
Dhyanesh Mehta

  • If mails aren't going out, then notifications won't either.  Have you tried adding a gmail account to the list of addresses to receive notifications via email?

Do you have an SNMP monitoring tool that could send texts?

    Cheers - Bob
